L.A. Studio S (neck & bridge)

The inspiration for designing this set came from the release of Sire’s signature Larry Carlton S7.

This is a relatively bright S-type guitar and our HSS set is designed to help smooth out those highs.  Under the pickguard, Sire have provided a super switch with treble bleed and a wiring scheme that splits the humbucker in position two.

We used a slightly hotter than stock humbucker in order to improve on the position two split-coil and fatten the position one humbucker response.  We used alnico 2 magnets and a winding pattern to warm up the single-coils.
